It is impossible for God to share the glory of his salvation with man. This is evident, even in the nature of faith itself. Faith believes that someone else has finished the work of salvation. Faith says, “All of my works are worthless; Christ has done everything for me.“ No sinner can claim that he summoned a savior from heaven. Christ did not come because we called on him. He came purely on divine prerogative. The sinner has contributed nothing to the work that Jesus accomplished in his incarnation, death and resurrection. So how can he receive any glory for it? Such a thing is absurd.
“Blessed are you, O God, for the work of your hands.“
