Soli Deo Gloria

It is im­pos­si­ble for God to share the glo­ry of his sal­va­tion with man. This is ev­i­dent, even in the na­ture of faith it­self. Faith be­lieves that some­one else has fin­ished the work of sal­va­tion. Faith says, “All of my works are worth­less; Christ has done every­thing for me.“ No sin­ner can claim that he sum­moned a sav­ior from heav­en. Christ did not come be­cause we called on him. He came pure­ly on di­vine pre­rog­a­tive. The sin­ner has con­tributed noth­ing to the work that Je­sus ac­com­plished in his in­car­na­tion, death and res­ur­rec­tion. So how can he re­ceive any glo­ry for it? Such a thing is ab­surd.

“Blessed are you, O God, for the work of your hands.“
